Overview

 

Pediatrix Neonatology of Houston, an affiliate of Pediatrix Medical Group,

is seeking an Pediatric Hospitalist to join our growing practice at

HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake Hospital.

Responsibilities

HCA Clearlake – Pediatric Hospitalist

 

Practice Description:

• Hospitalists cover pediatric inpatient floor and oversee PNPs who round in the newborn nursery.
• Each physician works 15-16 shifts/month.
• No in-house call.

 

Pediatric Unit

• New pediatric unit with 8 bed capacity. Accepts direct admissions from community Pediatricians.  In-house from 8a-5p. 
• Over-night home call for Pediatric Unit + Nursery: 2 weeks per month
• Pediatric Subspecialists - Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Infectious Disease, General Surgery, Neurosurgery
• Additional Pediatric Services: Pediatric Emergency Room

 Newborn Nursery 

• Open nursery.
• Average 4000 deliveries/year with average daily census 20 newborns.
• Nursery is covered daily by 2 PNPs. 
• No delivery attendance.
• No circumcisions.
• Level 3 NICU in house.
