Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Public Assistance in Staten Island, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol commercial real estate locations, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, communicate professionally with tenants and visitors, respond to concerns, and support a welcoming environment through exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, parking areas, common spaces, entry points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required by site policy, and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain professional communication with property management, tenants, and emergency responders while supporting a welcoming and orderly environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
