Description
Duties: The Utility Maintenance Technician I performs manual tasks including general maintenance at a skilled level involved in the equipment used for the maintenance of water, lines and meter, and/or plants. Working with co-workers as a team on daily and weekly household maintenance of water storage sites. Mowing and trimming around tanks and fences. Occasionally, repair fence, paint pipes and buildings, and pump and motor maintenance. Must have and maintain, without interruption, all necessary licenses, certifications, clearances, and/or job requirements. Works the assigned schedule and complies with City timekeeping and attendance policy. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in construction trades such as concrete work, pipe work, electrical and general labor. Valid Texas driver's license and good driving record. Obtain Class C Groundwater License

- From 21 to less than 26 years of service – five weeks of vacation per year.
- From 26 years of service and up – six weeks of vacation per year.
