Job Description

As a Security Officer Front Desk in Utica, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional in a healthcare location, you will serve as a welcoming, professional presence for patients, visitors, and staff. You will manage access, monitor activity, respond to security-related concerns, and communicate clearly while helping create a supportive environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and applicable emergency response activities.
• Serve as a front-desk presence, greet and screen visitors, verify appointments or authorized access, and direct individuals to appropriate areas of the healthcare location.
• Monitor entry activity and visitor flow, maintain required logs and documentation, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, disruptive situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established procedures.
• Help to deter unauthorized access by maintaining awareness of the front entrance and communicating professionally with visitors, staff, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
