Pastor of Worship Arts

The Pastor of Worship Arts leads in living out the Gather component of the church’s disciple-making strategy (Gather, Group, Give, Go). This pastor shepherds the church in gathered worship that exalts Christ, proclaims the gospel, and encourages the body of Christ.

This role collaborates closely with the other strategy pastors (Group, Give, Go) to move people toward faithful obedience to Jesus Christ and deeper engagement in the life of the church.

Gather Strategy

·         Lead and implement the Gather strategy by creating worship gatherings that exalt Christ and encourage one another.

·         Plan, lead, and oversee all corporate worship services, ensuring theological clarity, spiritual depth, and excellence.

·         Collaborate with the Lead Pastor and executive team to plan gatherings that align musically, creatively, and thematically with the teaching ministry of the church.

·         Cultivate a culture of participation, reverence, joy, and gladness in gathered worship.

Worship & Production Teams

·         Oversee all vocalists, musicians, and worship leaders involved in corporate worship gatherings for all ministries.

·         Provide leadership and oversight for all production elements, including audio, video, lighting, and livestream.

·         Ensure production excellence that supports worship rather than distracts from it.

Creative Arts Team

·         Oversee creative arts initiatives including communication/marketing, visual design, video content, social media, and creative storytelling.

·         Ensure all creative elements reinforce the gospel, support the Gather strategy, and reflect the mission and values of the church.

·         Collaborate with communications staff to ensure consistency in branding and messaging.

Leadership & Team Development

·         Identify and develop leaders who can disciple others and multiply teams within worship, production, and creative arts ministries.

·         Ensure team members are spiritually healthy, prepared, and aligned with the church’s values and expectations.

·         Provide regular rehearsals, training, coaching, and spiritual formation for team members.

Communication & Collaboration

·         Serve as the primary point leader for all Gather-related ministries.

·         Work with staff to promote worship gatherings, special services, and ministry opportunities.

Regularly report ministry progress, metrics, and stories to church leadership.
