As a Juvenile Correctional Security Officer - Entry Authorization in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer supporting a government location focused on youth services. You will manage access control, verify credentials, monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, maintain visitor logs, and control entry and exit in accordance with facility procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and the facility perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and access-control activities in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must meet DPSS/DHS tuberculosis test and MMR vaccination requirements.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
