The Lung cancer portfolio is one of the fastest growing portfolios in Pfizer Oncology and includes the following in-line brands: LORBRENA and BRAFTOVI/MEKTOVI Lung. Lung cancer is the most common cancer, and LORBRENA, our ALK+ inhibitor has been prescribed to over 12,000 patients since launching in the US in 2018. At ASCO 2026, the unprecedented 7-year follow analysis of the pivotal Phase 3 CROWN trial was presented and published. This practice-changing data is expected to solidify LORBRENA’s position in treating patients with ALK+ metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
The Sr Manager, LORBRENA Marketing position will report to the US Lung Team Lead and will be responsible for developing a variety of HCP and Patient strategies and tactics, including leading the planning and execution of congresses and speaker programs across the portfolio. Activities associated with this position include strategic marketing, tactics planning, data & analytics. The Sr Manager will work closely with internal and external partners, including, sales, market insights, Regulatory, Legal, Medical Affairs, TLELs, Advocacy, other members of the brand team, and agencies.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop strategies and tactics in collaboration with LORBRENA and BRAFTOVI/MEKTOVI HCP and Patient leads to ensure continued growth of the portfolio
Lead Congress planning and execution for Lung Portfolio - serve as US lead for all regional/national/global congresses
Lead identification and development of Lung Speaker Bureau and manage execution and training of all speaker programs
Partner with Sales Operations and Training to ensure field teams are equipped with current messaging, sales aids, and data updates and for customer facing presence at congresses and speaker programs
Continuously measure the impact of marketing initiatives, generating early learning, and driving continuous improvement to achieve budget
Own all promotional projects through the Medical, Legal and Regulatory review process and ensure that materials and programs are compliant
Lead efforts to coordinate and align work across cross-functional and marketing colleagues, agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure strategic and tactical alignment and execution for all personal promotional materials
Propose and manage detailed budget; manage outside agencies - develop project briefs, execute projects, and manage timelines, while ensuring consistency with product positioning, brand guidelines, company goals, and ethics
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree preferred
6+ years pharmaceutical/biotech marketing experience preferred
Previous in-line US/global Marketing experience and/or understanding of advanced lung cancer landscape preferred
Performance in prior positions demonstrates that candidate is well-prepared to advance their Marketing career beyond this role
Demonstrated ability to develop actionable insights from complex clinical data and market research
Strong leadership and ability to influence across functional stakeholders, including senior executives, to set direction, align work efforts, and ensure outstanding execution
Strong collaboration skills, working effectively with both internal teams and co-promotion partner
Excellence in additional professional competencies including collaborative and cross functional problem solving and communications, innovative thinking, sense of urgency, and a passion for the science of oncology and for helping patients with cancer
Experience with the management of external agencies/ vendors as well as project budgets and timelines
High-energy, proactive self-starter who has the initiative to function autonomously and the confidence and ingenuity to initiate, create, and innovate
Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Oncology, specialty, or rare disease marketing experience
MBA or other related graduate-level degree
Experience working across a portfolio of brands
Champion innovation, seek learnings from other brands and other industries to innovate and enhance plans
Fosters a culture of collaboration and teamwork
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team and lead colleagues outside of a direct reporting relationship through influence and persuasion
Comfort with ambiguity, and complex “white space” environments
Agile mindset; Track record of pushing boundaries and not accepting status quo, finding ways to deliver in the face of accelerated deadlines
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Domestic travel of up to 20% for customer meetings, congresses and internal engagements
