Located in the heart of the city, Warner Bros. Studio Tour Shanghai – The Making of Harry Potter is an indoor attraction designed to transport visitors into the world of filmmaking, revealing production secrets through interactive experiences, showcasing stunning sets, and displaying beautifully crafted props.

This new attraction will deliver the Studio Tour values of exceptional customer service, experiences that exceed visitors’ expectations, and the very best in Harry Potter retail.

Warner Bros. Studio Tour Shanghai will be operated in partnership with Jinjiang International (Holdings) Co., Ltd., a State-Owned Enterprise, ensuring a world-class experience for all who visit.

Your New Role

The Compensation & Benefits Manager is responsible for formulating and implementing the Compensation and Benefits strategy for Warner Bros Studio Tour Shanghai (WBSTS). Following the WBSTS’s overall strategic objectives for the grand opening and post-opening business growth, this role will drive talent attraction and retention strategies, labor cost optimization, employee performance incentive programs and support labor relationship stability during a period of significant business growth and large-scale operational stabilization periods. This will be an individual contributor position in the organization.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develop and execute C&B strategies aligned with the company's compensation framework, supporting WBSTS's successful grand opening and business growth, while driving employee engagement.

  • Deliver job evaluations, job leveling and salary bands for all roles, to align WBSTS's job grade structure with WBD Group's total rewards framework.

  • Regularly review and update of the company's policies and regulations, identifying and establishing any additional organizational provisions.

  • Build and analyze the annual workforce cost budget, labor cost tracking and deliver proactive risk alerts.

  • Participate in market compensation and benefits surveys and industry seminars, benchmark against the external market, provide data support and recommendations, and serve as a basis for business decision-making.

  • Review and refine employee benefits initiatives, driving higher team engagement and partnering with Talent Acquisition to increase talent appeal in the market.

  • Collaborate with the total rewards team of WBD Group to understand planned changes to the WBD compensation & benefits programs and how these may be relevant to WBSTS.

  • Lead the annual salary review and bonus calculation process.

  • Lead the design and implementation of the employee incentive bonus program.

  • Partner with the P&C Director to shape the performance management strategy, own the end-to-end annual performance review cycle, and ensure appraisal outcomes are integrated with reward programs and talent development pathways.

  • Support HRBPs to resolve employee conflicts smoothly, play the expert role to provide targeted solutions, and work together to foster a positive and healthy employee relationship.

  • Undertake other ad-hoc job responsibilities assigned by the direct supervisor.

Education and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in relevant disciplines.

  • Minimum 8 years of working experience in compensation & performance management functions. Prior working experience in hospitality, FMCG, retail or related industries is highly preferred.

  • Proficient in compensation design methodologies (such as broad banding, job evaluation, compensation surveys, etc.) and performance management tools.

  • Have led the design and implementation of compensation incentive programs for senior leadership team, sales team and frontline employees.

  • Possess excellent logical thinking and judgment capabilities.

  • Naturally data-driven, with sharp analytical skills and solid business insight, capable of translating data findings into actionable business solutions.

  • Demonstrate high integrity, strong attention to details, good communication skills and stakeholders influence.

  • Proficient in data analysis tools (Advanced Excel functions, Power BI etc.), adept at data modeling and compensation calculation, and capable of delivering visual analytics reports.

  • Fluent in oral and written English is required.

Working Pattern and Duty Management

This is a full-time, on site role requiring flexibility in working hours to meet business needs.

Shanghai Joint Venture Employment:

Please note that this position is employed through Warner Bros. Discovery’s joint venture with Jin Jiang International (Holdings) Co., Ltd. The joint venture entity is Shanghai WB Jinjiang Studio Tour Co., Ltd. Successful candidates will be hired by the joint venture company and assigned to work with Warner Bros. Discovery as required for this project.
