Shape the Future of Geomatics: Survey Software Test Engineer Intern
Apply survey and GIS expertise to design and assess Trimble's flagship office software for the geomatics industry while solving complex problems. What Makes This Role Great: In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the end-to-end hardware-software integration process, using cutting-edge equipment to capture real-world data and writing code to build automated test frameworks that shape the software used by geomatics professionals globally.
Key Exciting Responsibilities
Apply survey and GIS knowledge to guide product development and define optimal user workflows.
Execute exploratory testing and design test cases using state-of-the-art equipment to ensure high-quality software releases.
Build and expand automation testing frameworks by writing code that simulates real-world end-user operations.
Track, analyze, and report automated test results from daily runs to optimize performance and customer satisfaction.
Essential Skills & Experience
Currently pursuing a degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics Engineering, or a related field.
Strong foundational understanding of office and field survey workflows.
Solid computer skills including experience with test design, databases, Excel, and networking principles.
Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills with a collaborative, proactive mindset.
Full-time availability for a 12-month commitment starting May or June 2027.
Bonus Points For
Hands-on practical surveying experience.
Familiarity or interest in C# programming and automated testing frameworks.
Experience with GIS platforms such as Esri products, ArcGIS, or spatial databases.

Essential Skills & Experience

Curious attitude coupled with ability to work collaboratively with remote and in person teams
Availability for a 12-month full-time commitment starting in May or June 2026.

Experience or familiarity with Trimble hardware (GNSS receivers, Optical and scanning instruments) or software systems like Trimble Access or Trimble Business Center.
Prior experience troubleshooting technical hardware or software tools.
Experience with deep learning, large language models, and other AI techniques and tools.
