Position: Senior Financial Accountant – Treasury & Payment Operations
Industry: Retail Network (145+ Locations)
Contract & Work Model: Full-time permanent role; Hybrid model following initial onboarding

Overview
A expanding retail group managing more than 145 branch locations is recruiting a Senior Financial Accountant to take full ownership of high-volume payment processing and liquidity control. Core Responsibilities
- Payment Execution: Oversee and execute daily high-volume transactional processing across multiple bank accounts.
- Ledger Management: Routinely track, audit, and reconcile Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) balances.
- Lease Verification: Conduct monthly rental payment reconciliations across the entire branch network.
- Liquidity Planning: Formulate and update short-term and medium-term rolling cash flow forecasts.
- Treasury Operations: Supervise banking relationships, credit lines, and multi-bank financial architectures.
- Variance Resolution: Analyze and clear accounting mismatches, posting errors, and payment discrepancies.
- Internal Advisory: Act as the primary internal subject matter expert for payment processes and workflows.
Candidate Profile
Essential Qualifications
- Professional Experience: 5+ years of hands-on background in financial accounting, treasury, AP/AR, or payment management.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep expertise in account reconciliation, cash management, liquidity forecasting, and core accounting procedures.
- Software Skills: Proficiency with established accounting software (such as DATEV or Addison) and electronic banking tools (such as windata).
- Language Capabilities: Fluent or C1/C2-level mastery of German.
- Education: Completed vocational commercial training (e.g., Industrial Management Assistant, Banking Specialist, Tax Assistant) or equivalent professional background; a academic degree is optional.
