About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair of company trucks and equipment. Reporting to the Fleet Manager, this position will focus on ensuring the fleet is maintained and compliant, coordinate repairs, and manage equipment rentals.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilizing company mechanics and 3rd party vendors, manage the maintenance and repair of company trucks and equipment
- Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules
- Coordinate emergency repairs and ensure quick turnaround for equipment needed in the field
- Arrange equipment rentals as needed, monitor rental utilization and maintenance needs
- Supervise mechanics, both shop and road
- Maintain accurate service records, inspection logs, and compliance documentation
- Monitor equipment usage, repair costs, and maintenance budgets
- Assist with sourcing parts and maintaining accurate inventory
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards, laws, and company safety policies
- Identify and setup new vendors as necessary to support field operations
- Coordinate moves of equipment to and from jobsites nationwide
- Familiar with trucks and heavy equipment, understanding of their mechanical systems and components
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, ability to multitask and work independently
- Experience working with equipment dealers such as Cat, Volvo, Takeuchi, and Vermeer
- Understanding of DOT rules and regulations
- Proficient with computers, cell phones, and other common technology
- Valid driver’s license. Have, or be able to obtain a DOT medical card
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in a shop or office environment (standing, bending, climbing, working outdoors as needed)
- In office during normal business hours
- Phone availability for night and weekend calls to support emergencies and ongoing work
- Occasional travel, less than 25% travel

Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000/year, based on experience
