Housekeeper- Part Time

Silver Lake Hospital of Newark, NJ is seeking to hire a part-time Housekeeper to perform routine cleaning for our long-term acute care hospital.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Housekeeper performs routine cleaning assignments for all areas of the hospital including patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, and restrooms.  Demonstrates the ability to utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.  

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

67-100% of work time: Standing, Walking, Carrying 0-50 pounds or more, Pushing/Pulling, Bending/Squatting, Kneeling, Twisting, Lifting 50 pounds or more 

34-66% of work time: Climbing, Lifting 0-50 pounds

1-33% of work time: Sitting

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• 1-3 years of hospital housekeeping experience is preferred. 
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
