General Internal Medicine - Roosevelt has an outstanding opportunity for a Patient Services Specialist 2.

WORK SCHEDULE

• Part-time, 50% FTE (20 hours per week)

• Day Shift

• Mondays- Fridays

• This assignment is a part-time days/ fixed duration/ up to 10 months from date of hire

• No Telework/On-site

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

The General Internal Medicine Center at UW Medical Center - (Roosevelt) provides comprehensive primary care for adult patients, including preventive medicine services, assessment and treatment of acute medical problems and monitoring and treatment of chronic diseases. We are a dynamic teaching clinic, focused on providing patient-centered care grounded in the best available medical evidence. Our doors are open to everyone, but we have a special commitment to serving people whose voices are too often silenced. We work to ensure that every patient who walks in feels safe, affirmed, and empowered to take charge of their health.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Providing staff, providers, and patients with an efficient system of internal and external communications, including phone answering and call triaging  

• Scheduling provider appointments

• Obtaining patient demographic, financial, and clinical information

• Assisting patients with MyChart registration, navigation and general use

• Partnering with all members of the clinic team to prioritize patient satisfaction and exceptional care delivery

• Other duties as requested

REQUIREMENTS

• High school graduation or equivalent AND

• One year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience

• OR

• An equivalent combination of education/experience

• Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
