As part of the Data Engineering team, we ensure our users have access to aligned, accurate and useful business metrics and dimensions that support their operations. We deliver on our mission, and collaborate with our partners to achieve the following:
Single-source-of-truth data that is robust, high-quality and trusted
Informative visualizations supporting reporting and understanding
Automated insights and analyses that enhance decision making at all levels

In understanding the user need, we partner directly with Marketing Managers to create & maintain dashboards, resolve bugs and work on feature requests. Where there is a gap between business requirements and available products, we prioritize the need, identify solutions and deliver resulting product initiatives.
Position Responsibilities:
As a Data Engineering Sr. Specialist, you’ll develop the data infrastructure to ensure that Google stakeholders have the product, support, and operations data they need to make crucial business decisions. You’ll partner with our business and enablement teams to create visualization solutions and have the opportunity to design innovative data solutions while solving challenging problems using Google’s large-scale production data infrastructure.
As the Sr. Specialist, you’ll be responsible to oversee and review the development of the data infrastructure that our Data Engineers are creating to ensure that our Cloud Marketing teams have the most accurate data they need to make crucial business decisions
You’ll act as a subject matter expert and quality auditor for a team of Data Engineers and partner with the Cloud Marketing team to create data and visualization solutions
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to design and lead the development of innovative data solutions while troubleshooting challenging problems using Google’s large-scale production data infrastructure
You’ll act as a technical liaison between business and analyst teams and supervise the design of new data products and optimize how they will perform
Experience implementing and working with Large Language Models (LLMs), including prompt engineering and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
Strong technical documentation skills, particularly in writing implementation designs.
Proficiency in DevOps/DataOps principles (release management, system stability, error handling) and optimizing data processing and batching patterns.
Required Skills:
5+ years experience working with advanced SQL: manipulating and managing large datasets to derive insights.
Strong Technical expertise in building, troubleshooting and maintaining ETL pipelines on GCP BigQuery, knowledge in OLAP technologies and data warehousing.
Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication and leadership skills.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred qualifications:
Intermediate to expert proficiency with GCP
Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
Identifying and capitalizing on technical improvement and optimization opportunities.
Acting as a technical liaison between the business teams and Engineering.
Supervising the design of new data products and optimizing how they will perform.
Checking in and peer reviewing SQL.
Debugging, root causing, communicating and fixing data discrepancy issues.
