Senior Conference Services Manager (Events / Banquets / Hospitality) – Full-Time

Join Lake Lawn Resort as a Senior Conference Services Manager and take a leading role in the planning, coordination and execution of group events, conferences, and banquets. This position is ideal for an experienced hospitality professional with approximately five years of experience who excels at managing complex events, building strong client relationships, mentoring team members, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. The Senior Conference Services Manager will serve as a key resource for the Conference Services team, collaborating with Sales, Catering, and resort operations to ensure successful events from initial planning through completion.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of group events, conferences, banquets, and other special events from booking through completion.
• Serve as a senior point of contact for group and conference clients, building strong relationships and ensuring their needs are met throughout the event planning process.
• Manage complex and high-profile events, ensuring all details, timelines, and client expectations are clearly communicated and executed.
• Prepare, review, and maintain accurate Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), group resumes, event timelines, and other necessary documentation.
• Collaborate with Sales, Food & Beverage, Operations, Housekeeping, and other departments to ensure seamless event execution.
• Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to Conference Services team members, helping maintain consistent service standards and operational efficiency.
• Assist with training, onboarding, and development of Conference Services staff.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to upsell event enhancements, including customized menus, themed events, activities, and additional resort services.
• Maintain accurate event information in systems such as Amadeus, Versa, and Sales & Catering platforms.
• Communicate event requirements, changes, and expectations to internal departments, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor event progress and proactively address challenges to ensure successful execution and guest satisfaction.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal partners.
• Support department revenue goals through strategic client engagement, upselling, and exceptional service.
• Assist with developing and improving conference services procedures, workflows, and service standards.
• Help ensure compliance with resort policies, safety standards, and established event procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the Sales & Catering department and overall resort operations.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• College degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered. 
• 5+ years of experience in conference services, event management, or hotel/resort operations
• Demonstrated experience managing group events, conferences, banquets, or other complex hospitality events.
• Prior leadership, supervisory, or mentoring experience in conference services, food & beverage, banquet operations, or a related hospitality environment.
• Experience with systems such as Amadeus, Versa, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Valid driver’s license required
