ABOUT THE TEAM
Public Markets Solutions partners with Public Markets investment teams to design, evolve and support scalable digital, data and analytical capabilities across the investment lifecycle. The team connects investment priorities with technology delivery, working collaboratively with business, data, technology and operational partners to translate strategic needs into practical, sustainable solutions aligned with the organization’s operating model and enterprise direction.
ABOUT YOUR ROLE
As a Senior Advisor, Public Markets Solutions, you’ll:
Contribute, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, to defining the strategic and digital vision for Public Markets Solutions and actively participate in its implementation
Ensure that Public Markets solutions, initiatives and recommendations are aligned with the organization’s vision, business priorities and operating model
Advise partners and advocate for opportunities that address the constantly evolving needs of Public Markets by leading opportunity assessments and influencing cross-functional recommendations
Mobilize the appropriate stakeholders and orchestrate the resolution of complex, high-impact and cross-functional problems by recommending practical and sustainable solutions
Ensure that the planning of Public Markets initiatives and solutions is integrated with the overall business plan and contribute to maintaining and evolving long-term strategies
Monitor industry innovations, market practices, technologies and solution capabilities to provide recommendations that enable services and solutions to evolve in line with business needs
Provide guidance and coaching to team members in the definition and implementation of solutions while contributing to knowledge sharing and overall team effectiveness
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in investment technology, business and systems analysis, digital solutions, financial analytics or a comparable role in asset management or financial services
Strong knowledge of Public Markets investment processes, financial instruments and the digital, data and analytical capabilities used by investment professionals
Demonstrated experience leading complex business assessments and cross-functional initiatives from opportunity definition through solution delivery and adoption
Experience with investment management and analytics platforms, including Bloomberg solutions; working knowledge of data and business intelligence technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server and Power BI is an asset
Demonstrated ability to influence decisions, build consensus and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels
Strong strategic thinking, analytical problem-solving, judgment, communication and presentation skills, supported by a rigorous approach to analysis and documentation
Ability to plan and coordinate multiple interconnected initiatives, anticipate dependencies and guide teams through ambiguity and changing priorities
CFA, FRM, CIPM or another relevant professional designation is considered an asset.
Bilingualism: English and French (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)
