WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Desktop & Endpoint Engineering
•Act as 2nd/3rd line escalation for desktop and endpoint incidents and requests.
•Maintain and restore devices to the approved standard configuration following incidents or rebuilds.
•Support OS upgrades, OEM driver and firmware updates, and endpoint compliance activities.
•Perform preventative maintenance during support interactions and reduce repeat incidents.
Workstation Build, IMACD & Data Handling
•Execute physical and logical workstation installs and replacements.
•Deliver IMACD activities (install, move, add, change, decommission) as part of BAU.
•Perform user data transfers during device replacement and rebuilds.
•Enforce data storage policy and correct network drive mappings before risky activities.
Printing, Meeting Rooms & Peripheral Support
•Provide 1st line printing support (including label printers and MFP user support) and coordinate vendor escalations.
•Deliver 1st line meeting room and AV/VC support, including proactive checks where required.
•Provide first line support for handheld scanning devices where deployed.
Connectivity, Mobility & VDI (Endpoint Side)
•Support workstation related connectivity (Wi Fi, VPN, broadband up to wall socket level).
•Support VDI / thin client environments from an endpoint perspective.
Endpoint Security – Hands & Feet
•Ensure endpoint protection is present during builds, reinstalls, and imaging.
•Provide hands and feet support for workstation security issues (AV failures, encryption, WMI repair) where remote remediation fails.
CMDB & Documentation
•Update CMDB records during commissioning, decommissioning, and incident restoration (including required scan inputs).
•Maintain site level documentation and runbooks to support auditability and repeatability.
Network & Server Room Support
•Perform basic upkeep and inspections of network and server rooms at assigned sites.
•Provide local hands and feet support to Network Engineers, including:
•On site troubleshooting assistance
•Replacement of switches, routers, and Wi Fi devices
•Physical checks, racking, patching, and post swap validation
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TABLE:
Key attributes and competencies
·Strong hands‑on expertise in enterprise desktop and endpoint environments.
·Proven experience with workstation builds, IMACD, and user data migration.
·Practical understanding of site infrastructure operations and network device handling.
·Ability to operate independently as a site senior EUC authority.
·High operational discipline, strong documentation skills, and customer focus.
·Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Group Policy
·Endpoint management tooling (SCCM, Intune, MDM)
·Hardware support (laptops, docking stations, peripherals)
·Networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi‑Fi)
·Solid practical knowledge of:
·Windows desktop operating systems
·Enterprise endpoint environments
·Site infrastructure basics (network rooms, cabling, power)
Experience and Qualifications
·Relevant IT Diploma or Degree (preferred).
·Microsoft desktop / endpoint certifications
·Microsoft (MD‑102, MS‑102, legacy MCSA)
·ITIL Foundation
