Job Summary
The HR Coordinator supports day-to-day recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, training, and HR administrative activities. This role works closely with HR and operational leaders to help coordinate hiring efforts, maintain employee records, support retention programs, and provide a positive employee experience. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience using HR systems (such as Workday) is preferred but not required.
- Ability to handle confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer service mindset with a willingness to help employees and leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities for employees.
- Support employee engagement, recognition, and retention programs.
- Maintain employee files and HR records in accordance with company policies.
- Assist with the administration of HR programs, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare routine HR reports and help track key workforce metrics.
- Coordinate training sessions and development activities.
- Schedule interviews between candidates, hiring managers, and HR team members.
- Support recruiting events, job fairs, and hiring initiatives.
- Generate and distribute reports related to hiring, onboarding, turnover, and compliance.
- Partner with store leadership to support recruiting, onboarding, and retention efforts.
- Communicate with District Managers and operational leaders to assist with staffing needs and hiring activities.
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 0-2 years of experience in Human Resources, Recruiting, Administration, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Organized and detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, dependable, and able to follow through on assigned tasks.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
