THE POSITION

The Business Intelligence Co-Op represents an opportunity to join the Investment Platform Business Intelligence team, which partners with investment and business leaders to develop data-driven insights and scalable analytical capabilities that support management decision-making.

The team is focused on building sustainable data, reporting and analytics solutions that provide greater transparency into the Investment Platform and reduce reliance on fragmented or manual processes. The co-op will gain exposure to the investment management business while working with a range of data, technologies and stakeholders across the global Investment Platform.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The co-op will support the COO Team on a broad range of initiatives and will report to the Director of Business Intelligence & Supervisory Practices.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Partnering with team members and business stakeholders on ad hoc and recurring data analysis across investment teams, strategies and business activities.
  • Developing data visualizations, dashboards and analytical tools that enable investment and business leaders to identify trends and make informed decisions.
  • Supporting the development and enhancement of scalable reporting and data products, including efforts to consolidate or replace manual and legacy reporting processes.
  • Helping to streamline and automate internal processes, improving efficiency, data quality and sustainability.
  • Assisting with the collection, validation and organization of data from multiple sources and helping maintain consistent, reliable datasets.
  • Supporting analyses related to areas such as investment performance, peer-relative insights, business activity and management reporting.
  • Working with team members to understand business requirements and translate them into effective analytical solutions.
  • Exploring opportunities to use modern data, visualization and development tools to improve how information is delivered and consumed.
  • Supporting other strategic Business Intelligence initiatives as priorities evolve.

QUALIFICATIONS

We seek a team player who is an independent self-starter, able to multi-task, and complete high-quality work. A keen ability to pay attention to detail is a must for this position. Excellent communication, writing and Excel skills are required. A demonstrated interest in the investment management industry is also desired.

The following will be viewed favorably:
