About the Role

Infinitum Electric is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join our legal team in Austin, Texas. This role is a hands-on, high-volume position for an attorney who enjoys owning the full contract lifecycle, from intake through negotiation to close, while also helping build out the legal operations function and keeping our corporate entities in good standing across the jurisdictions where we do business. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded attorney who wants broad exposure across contracts, legal operations, and corporate/regulatory compliance at a growing manufacturing company.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Intake & Negotiation

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for incoming contract requests from the business, managing intake, triage, and prioritization
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of commercial agreements, including supply agreements, customer agreements, IP-related agreements (licensing, assignment, development), NDAs, and other vendor and third-party contracts
  • Partner directly with sales, supply chain, engineering, and other internal stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into sound contract terms
  • Identify and escalate legal and business risk in proposed contract terms

Legal Operations

  • Manage and continuously improve the legal department's contract intake process and workflows
  • Help administer contract lifecycle management (CLM) and other legal ops tools
  • Maintain contract templates, playbooks, and negotiation guidelines to drive consistency and efficiency
  • Track and report on contract volume, turnaround times, and other legal operations metrics

Entity & Regulatory Compliance

  • Manage corporate entity maintenance, including formation, good standing, and dissolution matters
  • Handle state registrations, foreign qualifications, annual reports, and related regulatory filings across jurisdictions where the company operates
  • Monitor and support compliance with applicable state and local regulatory requirements

General

  • Provide practical, timely legal guidance to internal business partners on day-to-day commercial matters
  • Support the General Counsel on ad hoc legal and corporate projects as needed

Qualifications

  • D. from an accredited law school and active license to practice law
  • Approximately 5 years of relevant legal experience; a mix of law firm and in-house experience is strongly preferred
  • Substantial experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, including supply, customer, IP, and confidentiality agreements
  • Familiarity with corporate entity maintenance and multi-state regulatory compliance
  • Experience with, or strong interest in, building and improving legal operations processes and tools (CLM systems, intake workflows, templates/playbooks)
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders
  • Strong business judgment and the ability to manage a high volume of matters independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing competing deadlines

Preferred

  • In-house experience at a manufacturing, industrial, or technology company
  • Prior experience supporting a legal operations function or contract intake system build-out
