This team sits within the U.S. mortgage operations space and is responsible for evaluating condominium projects to determine their eligibility for mortgage lending. The team works at the intersection of documentation analysis, risk assessment, and compliance.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Condo Review Specialist with a strong background in condominium project review. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of hands-on experience working in a Condo Review with a good understanding of condominium documentation, project eligibility.

The candidate will be responsible for reviewing condo projects and related documentation, identifying potential risks or deficiencies, coordinating with internal teams and third parties, and ensuring reviews are completed accurately and within established turnaround times.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze condominium project documentation for mortgage lending purposes.
• Review condo questionnaires, budgets, financial statements, insurance documents, HOA documents, meeting minutes, and other project-related documents.
• Determine project eligibility based on applicable investor, agency, and lender guidelines.
• Identify project-level risks, deficiencies, and missing or inconsistent documentation.
• Order and track condo reviews and related documentation as required.
• Coordinate with HOAs, management companies, lenders, borrowers, title companies, and other stakeholders to obtain required information.
• Perform full, limited, streamlined, or other applicable condo project reviews based on loan requirements.
• Ensure all review conditions and documentation requirements are accurately recorded and addressed.
• Escalate complex or high-risk condo project issues to the appropriate team or management.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all reviews are completed within defined SLAs/TATs.
• Stay updated on changes to condo review requirements, investor guidelines, and internal processes.
• Support quality control by ensuring reviews are accurate, complete, and compliant with applicable guidelines.

This role has been categorized as an Office position. “Office” employees regularly work at the Zillow India office for approximately 80 to 100 percent of their time each month. Employees must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the office. Zillow has not defined a reasonable distance, and expects employees will use judgment in determining this for themselves and understand the implications re: time commitment and cost of daily commute.

Who you are

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience working specifically in a Condo Review / Condo Order Team.
• Strong knowledge of condominium project review processes and mortgage operations.
• Experience reviewing condo questionnaires and project documentation.
• Good understanding of HOA documents, financials, insurance, litigation, owner-occupancy, and project-related eligibility requirements.
• Ability to identify documentation gaps, inconsistencies, and potential project risks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple condo reviews while meeting turnaround-time requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with U.S. mortgage/real estate processes.
  • Knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, or other applicable condo project review requirements.
  • Experience working with mortgage LOS, condo review platforms, or document management systems.
  • Prior experience handling complex or escalated condo project reviews.
