Job Description & Summary

Our Slovak team, works closely with PwC Germany as a nearshore consulting team supporting transformation projects in the financial services sector. We bring together strong German language capabilities, consulting skills, and understanding of banking, insurance and other FS domains. 

We have been fully & seamlessly integrated with PwC Germany but you will also be part of the Czech technology consulting team and will have the opportunity to be involved in activities in both countries. 

 As a Test Manager – Technology Consulting (German Projects), you will work on transformational projects for clients in the financial sector, especially banks, insurance companies, and investment firms in Germany.

Your responsibilities will be: 

• Defining and aligning test strategies for testing projects   

• Steering test preparation and execution activities   

• Ensuring excellent quality of test documentation   

• Providing consistent and transparent test progress reporting to stakeholders   

Imagine working on projects like:   

Testing a Large-Scale Business Transformation – You coordinate testing activities across multiple business and technology teams during the implementation of new platforms and processes. You define the test strategy, steer execution, and provide stakeholders with a clear view of risks, quality, and readiness for go-live. 

Building Test Governance for Complex Programs – You establish testing standards, reporting structures, and quality controls for large transformation initiatives. By bringing structure, transparency, and consistency to testing activities, you help organizations deliver change with confidence and minimize business risk. 

Requirements of the role: 

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics, Business Administration, Business Informatics, Business Engineering, IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar 

• 5+ years of experience as a Test Manager in scale transformation / system implementation / release-driven environments. 

• Knowledge of banking and insurance domains is a huge plus 

• Strong skills in managing external and internal stakeholders 

• ISTQB Advanced / Test Manager level or equivalent 

• Experience with test tools such as Azure Test Plans, Micro Focus ALM, Jira Xray, Selenium, UiPath, SoapUI, Jira, and Confluence 

• Ability to define test automation, e.g., for UI browser-based testing (Selenium), or using SAP Solution Manager, Azure DevOps, or Micro Focus ALM 

• Steering committee reporting, risk/escalation, and client-facing communication 

• Experience using German at B2-C1 level and English at C1 level in a professional environment 

• Proven experience in business development, RFP/RFQ management, test team setup and mobilization, including leadership of distributed onshore/offshore testing teams. 

• Strong learning mindset and willingness to continuously develop professional and consulting skills.  

Additional Information:  

Salary: starting from 2 600 EUR/month  

(The stated salary represents the minimum for this position. Final compensation is determined individually based on your experience, expertise, seniority, and overall profile. In addition, we offer a performance-based bonus linked to individual results and the company’s success.)
