The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a junior to mid-level Project Manager to join KBR during a period of significant growth. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a portfolio of design and consulting projects across KBR's Infrastructure Solutions business in Queensland. We are seeking candidates with an interest in transport, maritime, water utilities, or broader infrastructure projects.

Our projects typically involve investigations, options analysis, planning, and design activities for both new infrastructure developments and upgrades to existing assets within brownfield environments. Project values generally extend up to approximately $20 million in capital cost. Depending on your experience, you will either manage your own portfolio of projects or be part of a project management team delivering major infrastructure programs.

As a Project Manager, you will provide leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while also fostering strong client relationships and supporting ongoing business growth.

 

Key Skills, Experience and Attributes

• Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager within a consulting environment.
• Exposure to a range of infrastructure sectors will be highly regarded.
• Proven ability to successfully manage small to medium-sized projects.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build lasting client and colleague relationships.
• An industry-recognised Project Management certification is preferred but not essential.

 

Who Are You?

You will ideally have an engineering background combined with project management experience, preferably within the Australian transport, maritime, water utilities, or broader infrastructure sectors.

Experience across consulting, investigations, planning, specifications, design, project engineering, or commissioning will be highly regarded. As this role requires close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build strong working relationships.

A Defence Security Clearance is highly regarded, but not essential.
