Description
What you need to do:
Owns, sustains, and optimizes automated testing platforms Cohu SH5300A (Lead Frame Strip Handler) and FH1200 (Film Frame Strip Handler).
Ensure these complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems run with maximum uptime and efficiency
Develop, execute, and continuously improve PM schedules to prevent equipment breakdowns and maximize machine lifecycle
Perform rapid root-cause analysis on mechanical, electrical, servo, pneumatic, and motion control system failures
Ensure strip handlers and testing instrumentation meet required calibration services and industry tolerance standards
Support the setup, qualification, and production release of new equipment and customized factory hardware
Collaborate with process and product engineering teams to optimize equipment kinematics and test handling to meet throughput and yield target
Work with automation or component vendors on equipment design modifications, spare part sourcing, and technical issue resolution
Enforce strict workplace safety standards, including proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), lockout/tagout (LOTO) protocols, and electrical safety

What you need to have:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, mechatronics, electrical and electronics engineering from a recognized university
5+ years working experience in test and experienced with strip handler or prober.
Proficiency with testing instruments (oscilloscopes, multimeters) and programming languages like Python, C++, or LabVIEW
Strong ability to read electrical schematics, perform statistical data analysis, and conduct failure analysis
