River Market Community Co-op is hiring a Part Time Wellness Clerk!
Experience-based pay ranging from: $18.27 - $19.58 per hour
Expected hours: 16 - 24 hours per week
Must have availability to work weekends and evenings. Candidates without availability to work weekends and evenings will not be considered.

Wellness Clerks interact directly with customers, acting as guides to help answer questions and locate products. In this position you will provide exemplary customer service, maintain attractive and fully stocked shelves, ensure high standards of product quality and safety, and keep the store clean and organized. The most qualified candidates for this position will have experience serving customers in a retail environment and will have robust knowledge about vitamins and supplements, essential oils, body care, hair care, and skincare.
Union position
Reports to: Center Store Manager
- Maintain attractive, fully stocked, rotated, and faced sections, including promotional areas that change regularly
- Stock in accordance with procedures and Standard Operating Procedures
- Execute daily task lists as delegated by supervisor
- Provide product information to customers according to training
- Receive and process deliveries as communicated by supervisor
- Take initiative to increase your own product knowledge and keep up to date on industry news
- Communicate in a positive, professional, and respectful manner. Use appropriate language, behavior, appearance, and overall conduct with or in the presence of customers, vendors, and staffers
- Assist customers with placing and picking up of special orders

Requirements
- Able to perform basic arithmetic including counting, addition, and subtraction
- Prior experience serving customers
- Working knowledge of product areas within department: supplements, haircare, skincare, essential oils, body care

Must be physically able to occasionally grasp, grip, pull, push, twist, and turn as needed.
Constant (67-100%): Walking, standing, lifting/carrying up to 25 pounds floor to waist, talking, hearing, correctable vision including near acuity and depth perception
Frequent (34-66%): Bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, lifting/reaching waist to shoulder, lifting/reaching above the shoulder
Occasional (1-33%): Working in refrigeration, pushing, pulling, lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds floor to waist, lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance floor to waist
