Northrop Grumman is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst  to work on-site at Schriever SFB, near Colorado Springs, CO for our Front Range Operations and Sustainment Team (FROST) program. We Liaison with the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) and Satellite Control Network (SCN) to support our Front Range Operations and Sustainment Team (FROST) program, and to provide satellite support services to our mission critical customer.  FROST conducts real time on-orbit support, launch ascent support and End-of-Life operations for all NOPS (NRO Operations Squadron) missions. 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct system audits, assessments, continuous monitoring activities, covering all security controls, configurations, and operational processes, evaluating the security posture of information systems. 
  • Validate established security requirements and recommend security requirements and safeguards.  
  • Support planning, testing, and implementation required by government accrediting authorities.
  • Conduct system audits, recommend corrective actions, and monitor those actions through POA&M (Plan of Action and Milestones), until all actions are closed.
  • Support the government’s IATO (Interim Authority to Operate) and ATO (Authority to Operate) processes. Maintain ATO for existing systems and establish IATO for new systems.

This position is open as a dual level opportunity. We will consider candidates at a level 2 or level 3

Based on your overall experience, education, years of experience, fit to the position, and interview evaluation will determine which level you are selected for.

Basic Qualifications

  • Level 2: Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience or a a High School diploma / equivalent with 6 years’ experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Level 3: Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience or a a High School diploma / equivalent with 9 years’ experience may be considered in lieu of degree

  • Candidates must meet U.S. Government 8140 requirements for Cybersecurity Analyst (Example: Security+ CE, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP). Certification is required to be maintained as a condition of employment.
  • TS/SCI clearance counter-intelligence polygraph.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience Cyber Security
  • Experience using Splunk and Tenable.
  • Experience with STIGS (Security Technical Implementation Guides), Group Policy, and Active Directory.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced cybersecurity education or certifications.
  • Experience with VMware, VMware ESXi, Qmulos, Trellix, or HBSS (Host Based Security System).
  • Experience executing compliance scanning, documenting results, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Experience with government IATO and ATO processes.

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
