Joining Bunnings' Customer & Sales Product team, you'll help shape high-impact mobile experiences used by millions of customers throughout their home improvement journeys. Working alongside Product Managers, Engineers and Researchers you'll tackle meaningful customer challenges, influence product direction and bring ideas to life from discovery through to delivery.
This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced Product Designer who enjoys solving complex problems, collaborating with talented people and seeing their work make a real difference. What's involved
This role gives you the opportunity to:
- Design seamless mobile app experiences that improve how customers discover, shop and engage with Bunnings.
- Own design initiatives from early discovery and concept development through to launch and optimisation.
- Use customer insights, research and data to uncover opportunities and validate solutions.
- Create user journeys, wireframes, prototypes and polished interfaces that balance customer needs with business outcomes.
- Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers and Researchers to shape priorities and deliver meaningful customer value.
- Contribute to workshops, design reviews and team discussions that influence product decisions.
- Help evolve design systems, accessibility standards and design practices across the Customer & Sales Product team.
- Test, learn and iterate to continually improve customer experiences.
About You
You're an experienced Product Designer who thrives in customer-focused product environments and enjoys turning complex challenges into simple, intuitive experiences.
You bring a strong mobile design mindset and can confidently navigate the realities of balancing customer needs, business goals and technical considerations. You're comfortable operating with pace, taking ownership of your work and contributing from day one.
Most importantly, you're excited by the opportunity to influence products at scale and create experiences that make a real difference to everyday customers.
What you'll need
- Around 3+ years' experience in Product Design, UX Design or a similar role.
- Strong experience designing for mobile applications and/or mobile web products.
- Experience working across customer-facing product experiences.
- Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end design outcomes from discovery through to implementation.
- A portfolio showcasing relevant product design work, case studies and measurable customer impact.
- Experience creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs.
- Proficiency in Figma, Miro or similar design and collaboration tools.
- Experience working within agile product teams alongside Product Managers and Engineers.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- Native mobile app design experience.
- Experience working on loyalty, rewards, membership or customer engagement products.
- Experience designing for large-scale consumer brands or high-traffic customer products.
This nine-month contract is ideal for someone who can quickly build context, contribute immediately and help deliver several exciting mobile initiatives already underway.
