Eaton’s Electrical sector is currently seeking a Product Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Toronto, ON facility and offers benefits from day one.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $106000 - $133000 a year.

## What you’ll do:
The Product Manager is responsible for the overall management, growth, profitability, and lifecycle strategy of assigned Critical Power (3ph UPS, RPP, PDU, STS, BESS, MVSST) and Services product lines. This role provides leadership and support across pre-sales through post-sales activities, serving as the key interface between Eaton product management, sales and support teams, channel partners, customers, and internal stakeholders. The incumbent is responsible for developing and executing product and marketing strategies, providing technical and application support, analyzing market and competitive trends, identifying new product opportunities, and collaborating with Product Development, Commercial Marketing, and Operations to deliver customer-focused solutions and achieve business objectives.
## Essential Functions:
- Maintain full accountability for the assigned product portfolio, including P&L performance, revenue growth, market share, profitability, and achievement of business objectives.
- Develop and execute annual strategic, profit, and market plans, including market analysis, segmentation, competitive assessments, growth strategies, investment requirements, financial forecasts, and business recommendations.
- Analyze market conditions, sales performance, customer requirements, competitive activity, market share trends, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities, risks, and corrective actions.
- Develop and execute product line strategies and roadmaps that support business growth, customer requirements, regulatory compliance, and Eaton's overall strategic objectives.
- Lead new product introduction and product development initiatives, including product requirements, business cases, pricing strategies, commercialization plans, forecasts, inventory planning, and alignment with North American product management teams where applicable.
- Obtain and analyze Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback and translate customer insights into product enhancements, innovation, value creation opportunities, and future product development priorities.
- Monitor competitive products, technologies, and market developments; perform product gap analyses; and develop recommendations for new products, product enhancements, and portfolio optimization.
- Establish and manage pricing strategies, pricing guidelines, and market positioning to achieve sales, profitability, and competitive objectives, including approval of pricing exceptions and deviations.
- Partner with sales teams, channel partners, consultants, contractors, end users, and key customers to develop business opportunities, expand market reach, identify new channels and market segments, and support the achievement of sales goals.
- Provide product, technical, and application expertise throughout the customer lifecycle, including pre-sales consultation, product selection, configuration support, quotation development, specification interpretation, troubleshooting, warranty support, and resolution of customer issues.
- Develop, conduct, and coordinate product and application training for customers, channel partners, agents, consultants, contractors, and Eaton sales and support personnel.
- Create, maintain, and improve product documentation, pricing tools, configuration tools, digital content, marketing materials, and sales enablement resources to support product line objectives and market growth.
- Collaborate with Product Development, Engineering, Operations, Services, Marketing Communications, and Sales teams to ensure successful product launches, portfolio management, operational alignment, and customer satisfaction.
- Support Operations and Services teams with product expertise, application guidance, technical issue resolution, planning activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify and help implement process improvements, standardization initiatives, productivity enhancements, and cost reduction opportunities to improve business performance and customer experience.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Canadian Electrical Code requirements, regional and local codes, certification standards, corporate policies, and business practices.
- Lead, coach, and develop assigned personnel, establishing performance expectations, fostering employee development, and ensuring compliance with Eaton policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned in support of departmental and business objectives.
## Qualifications:
Basic Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering) from an accredited institution.
- 3 - 5 years in a technical product management or Offering Management position.
- 5-7 years of related sales, marketing or project management experience is required.
- Previous marketing experience in the form of a sales engineer, product engineer or product/technical specialist.
Preferred Qualifications
- P. Eng., CET or C. Tech designation.
- Master of Business Administration (MBA).
- Experience in data center, mission-critical power, energy storage, or power quality markets.
- Bilingual English/ French.
- Experience with channel sales, consultants, contractors, and end-user customer segments across North America.

- Demonstrated success partnering with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, marketing, and sales channels, to deliver business objectives.
- Strong customer engagement and presentation skills, with experience leading customer meetings, facilitating strategic discussions, and communicating complex technical solutions in a clear and compelling manner.
- Ability to translate customer and market insights into actionable product strategies that drive revenue growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
