The Commercial Banking Analyst Team Leader oversees support teammates and focuses on strengthening the effectiveness of the Sales Analysts in the evaluation and execution of transactions across the Commercial Bank. Assists manager in the partnership with Regional Leadership to drive talent development and execution to achieve sales goals.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Directly manages a team of Commercial Banking Analysts whose role is to support the Middle Market Banking teams within the regions with prospecting, deal execution and client servicing.
2. Lead and coordinate deal team through preparation of internal screening packages, term sheet and pitch decks for clients and prospects
3. Manage live deal execution with the Middle Market Bankers, internal and external partners and Corporate Finance and Industry Consulting analysts
4. Advance idea generation around deal structuring, analysis, screening and proposals
5. Assist with financial analysis, including modeling and debt capacity analysis
6. Team Leader will assist the Commercial Banking Analyst Manager in overseeing the execution of the analyst training program
7. Assist Analyst Manager with recruiting and teammate onboarding
8. Manage resource allocation, performance reviews and day-to-day responsibilities of Commercial Banking Analysts through regular 1x1s
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. College Degree or equivalent education, training and work-related experience.
2. 5+ of financial services experience with emphasis in sales management, leadership and/or project management.
3. Fundamental knowledge of Commercial Banking products, credit, deposits and financial services.
4. Ability to think strategically, be innovative, creative and influence decision-making processes.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Strong organizational and planning skills
7. Strong analytical and reporting skills, including credit acumen
8. Knowledge of core bank operations / systems and compliance / regulatory issues
9. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
Preferred Qualifications:
• Completion of an established management or career development program, such as Truist’s Leadership Development Program or Banking school
• Direct experience in commercial banking roles, either in lending or portfolio management
