Travel Medical Assistant

Bring preventive healthcare directly to patients where they live. In this field-based Medical Assistant role, you’ll support seniors, families, and children through unrushed home visits focused on Annual Wellness Visits, Medicare wellness visits, and Well-Child Visits—not urgent care or high-volume exam-room churn.

This is a full-time travel Medical Assistant role based in Jackson County, Missouri, with home visits starting locally and travel expanding across Missouri and nearby states as patient coverage needs require. What You Will Own

As a Travel Medical Assistant, you will help deliver wellness-focused care in a mobile, field-based environment. Your work will include:

• Visiting patients in their homes instead of a traditional exam-room setting
• Supporting Annual Wellness Visits, Medicare wellness visits, and Well-Child Visits
• Gathering patient information and supporting preventive screenings
• Helping seniors and families stay engaged in routine, proactive healthcare
• Building trust with patients through unrushed, relationship-centered visits
• Documenting visits and patient information using modern EMR tools
• Traveling daily to patient homes across assigned coverage areas
• Supporting care access for communities across Missouri and nearby states as needed

What Makes You a Strong Fit

You’ll be a strong match for this role if you have:

• At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience
• A Medical Assistant credential, certification, diploma, or equivalent qualification
• Hands-on clinical Medical Assistant experience
• Comfort working independently in a field-based role
• Comfort traveling daily to patient homes
• A reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
• Openness to travel throughout Missouri and nearby states as coverage needs require

Nice-to-Haves

These backgrounds are not required, but they may help you ramp quickly:

• Experience conducting Annual Wellness Visits
• Experience conducting Well-Child Visits
• Home visit, mobile care, field-based care, or community health experience
• Experience documenting visits in an EMR or EHR system
• Preventive care, primary care, pediatric, senior care, or community-based clinical experience

Schedule, Location, and Travel

• Full-time schedule
• Monday–Friday
• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Field-based travel role
• Home visits start in Jackson County, MO
• Travel may extend throughout Missouri based on patient needs
• Occasional nearby-state travel may be required based on coverage needs
• Mobile role with EMR charting after visits
