Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manager Industrial Security 3 to lead the Corporate Security team at our Corporate Headquarters facility in Falls Church, VA. This position reports directly to the Director, Corporate Security and is responsible for:

• Overall leadership of corporate facility security operations
• Corporate Industrial Security Administration
• Serving as Facility Security Officer (FSO) for multiple Corporate CAGE Codes within the Northrop Grumman Multi Facility Organization (MFO)
• Acting as the primary Corporate focal point for National Industrial Security Program (NISP) MFO-related administration

This role frequently engages with senior executives, Board of Directors members, internal and external stakeholders, and visitors, and will often serve as the “face” of the Security function at Corporate.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Security Leadership & Operations

• Lead the Corporate Security team, with responsibilities spanning, Personnel Security, Physical Security, Material Management, Visitor Control, Coordination with classified cyber teams, COMSEC, Classified area and meeting management, Program Security, Security Education & Awareness, and customer satisfaction
• Plan and execute security audits, self-inspections, and assessments to verify compliance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Support and maintain security clearances and special accesses for Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team members.
• Investigate security violations and incidents; prepare thorough reports specifying root causes and recommended preventive actions.
• Represent Corporate Security in engagements with senior executives, Board members, and external stakeholders

Facility Security Officer (FSO) & MFO Responsibilities

• Serve as the Facility Security Officer (FSO) for multiple Corporate CAGE Codes within the MFO structure.
• Manage all MFO-related activities at the corporate level and interface with MFO leads from each Sector.
• Coordinate notifications for joint ventures and key stakeholders, both internal and external to Northrop Grumman.
• Ensure compliance with applicable requirements under the NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), and other cognizant security authority guidance.
• Support Corporate Security Investigations including Insider Threat referrals.

Physical Security & Infrastructure Management

• Provide oversight for Physical Security operations, including personnel access control systems, Intrusion detection systems, Video management systems, Badge issuance platforms, Perimeter hardening methods
• Manage security infrastructure vendors, including design, build, and maintenance projects, to maintain effective, affordable, and high‑quality security services.
• Manage the security budget for the corporate office.
• Oversee the contract with Allied Universal for Corporate office guard services.

Emergency Response, Crisis Management & Insider Threat

• Lead Corporate office support for Emergency Response and Crisis Management, including:
  • Development and maintenance of crisis management and emergency management plans, procedures, and communications
  • Disaster preparedness communications, training, exercises, and drills
• Serve as the alternate for the VACO Emergency Response Team, as required.

 

Basic Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of security experience OR Master’s degree with 8 years of security experience OR Associate’s degree with 12 years of security experience OR High School Diploma and 14 years of security experience 
• Candidates must have a current DOD Top Secret level security clearance with ability to obtain, and maintain, SCI level access as a condition of continued employment 
• Extensive experience providing security management functions for Special Access Programs and/or Sensitive Compartmented Information programs, and a history of engagement with the DoW/DOD and/or Intelligence Community cognizant security authorities providing oversight for these activities 
• Candidates must obtain and maintain a Facility Security Officer (FSO) certification with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DSCA) as a condition of continued employment 
• Must have strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively manage a security team to deliver the highest quality customer service 

 Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience in managing a Multi Facility Organization (MFO) 

• Experience managing physical security infrastructure including personnel access control systems, intrusion detection systems, and video management systems

• Experience managing security infrastructure vendors including design, build, and maintenance projects 

• Experience developing crisis management and emergency management plans, policies, and procedures, to include disaster preparedness communications, training, exercises and drills 

• Experience managing a large security program which supports multiple facilities and project management, managing people, develop their skills, knowledge and align resources to accomplish the department’s priorities, to include NISPOM and ICD’s 

• Proficiency in physical security management software (e.g., Genetec, Lenel, Avigilon)

• Knowledge of access control systems, video surveillance, intrusion detection, badge issuance platforms, and perimeter hardening methods

Primary Level Salary Range: $159,500.00 - $239,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
