Description

The UK Parts & Repairs Procurement and Sourcing leader is responsible for defining the procurement strategy for the assigned product categories, as well as deploying and implementing global strategies, to secure the supply of parts and services required for nuclear service operations, while ensuring Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost performance.

The position reports to the Service Operations Sourcing and Procurement leader.

Understand the Service P&L requirements and define procurement strategies accordingly for the assigned commodities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy strategies defined by Strategic Buyers within the New Nuclear P&L
  • Stay informed about technological and regulatory developments related to products and processes available on the market
  • Monitor supply chain risks and implement mitigation plans to prevent operational disruptions
  • Track market indices to adapt procurement strategies
  • Support the team in negotiating general terms and pricing agreements
  • Oversee the sourcing and supply of parts, repairs, and services required for projects, ensuring Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost objectives
  • Implement daily management practices aligned with business priorities
  • Lead and monitor team activities, including the implementation and follow-up of performance dashboards
  • Communicate actively and transparently share key information with the team and management (feedback, alerts, escalations, etc.)
  • Manage supplier performance, particularly On-Time Delivery (OTD)
  • Oversee supplier non-quality cost recovery processes
  • Initiate supplier quality improvement plans in collaboration with the Supplier Quality team
  • Contribute to procurement function transformation initiatives
  • Lead Lean initiatives as required
  • Ensure compliance with nuclear safety processes (CFSI, graded approach, etc.)
  • Ensure that team members are up to date with nuclear safety training requirements
  • Collaborate with procurement managers and strategic buyers across other organizations to ensure alignment of strategies
  • Develop internal and external networks and optimize relationships with support functions (Finance, Sales, Quality, Engineering, Project Management, Controlling, etc.)
  • Ensure balanced workload distribution within the team
  • Recognize and celebrate individual and team achievements
  • Identify capability gaps and implement action plans (recruitment, coaching, training, etc.)
  • Manage the performance development cycle (People Performance Growth)
  • Promote internal and external innovation initiatives
  • Encourage mobility and continuous improvement through lessons learned
  • Manage remote teams.

PROFILE AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Extensive experience in procurement of technical goods or services or Equivalent experience in other functions (e.g., Engineering, Project Management, Supplier Quality, etc.).
  • Full professional proficiency in English is required
  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (Business School, Engineering School, or specialized master’s degree in Procurement)
