The client you’ll work with:

WeShop is a community-owned shopping platform with a social twist. People shop through WeShop from 500+ major online retailers (and new ones are added regularly), while also sharing finds, making recommendations and discovering products through the community. What makes it different is ShareBack® – a reward model where purchases and activity can turn into real shares in the company, so users can become co-owners, not just customers. At its core, WeShop is building a global social commerce ecosystem where shopping, sharing and ownership are connected. People shop as they normally would, but instead of just being customers, they get the chance to be part of the company’s success.

The innovative social-commerce platform was launched in the UK in 2022 and aims to list on the Nasdaq tech-heavy index in New York and launch in the US in the first quarter of 2025.

The role:

WeShop is building fast, reliable digital experiences across web and mobile - and they are looking for an Automation QA Engineer to help them ship with confidence.

Responsibilities

You'll design and maintain automated test suites across our web and mobile platforms (iOS and Android), build robust API test coverage, and jump into manual testing whenever exploratory or ad-hoc checks are needed. You'll work closely with developers and product owners to make sure quality is built in from day one.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in test automation for both UI (iOS, Android) and API layers
• Strong hands-on skills in JavaScript/TypeScript for writing automated tests
• Willingness and ability to perform manual testing when needed
• Practical experience using AI tools as part of the testing/development workflow
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL (querying, data validation)
• Solid experience with Git (branching, PRs, version control workflows)
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and bug tracking

Brownie points:

• Experience with performance testing (load, stress, or scalability testing)
• Experience with Linux and Docker containers
• Experience with AWS services including ECS, S3, SNS, SQS, RDS, Cloudwatch
• Experience in the ecommerce industry
• Contributions to CI/CD pipelines for automated test execution
