Job Summary:  

Hanover Bank is looking for a full-time BSA Analyst to join the team. The BSA Analyst is responsible for assisting with most aspects of the Bank’s BSA/AML compliance program. They will review and investigate alerts and perform other BSA compliance duties as assigned. 

 Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review & clear alerts generated by the Bank’s BSA/AML transaction monitoring system. Escalate alerts to cases for further review in a timely manner.
• Conduct in-depth investigations, including potential regulatory filings (SARs) for unusual activity.
• Daily monitoring of audit log, OFAC review, and unvalidated transactions.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of Currency Transaction Reports (CTR) within the required time frames.
• Perform Enhanced Due Diligence reviews on High-Risk Customers.
• Assisting in calibration of transaction monitoring rules and in preparation of BSA/AML/OFAC annual risk assessment.
• Stay current with changes in BSA and related laws & regulations.
• Handle any other duties or special projects as assigned by BSA Management.

Professional Requirements:  

• CAMS Certification preferred, or willing to obtain after one year of employment.

 Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 1 - 3 years BSA experience preferred

 Skills and Abilities:

• Working knowledge and understanding of general banking principles. 
• Strong internet research skills. 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
• Sound analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. 
• PC literate with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel. 
• Ability to work and contribute in a team-oriented and collaborative environment. 
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.

Hourly rate: $24.00-$31.25; placement within this range will vary based on experience and skill level.
