The FIT Intermediary Servicing team within the FIPBE Technology organization is looking for an experienced Senior Manager, Engineering who blends technology and business expertise with a passion for coaching and leading teams and delivering results. This position requires a talented leader and collaborator, who demonstrates analytical thinking, active listening, and champions innovation. Your responsibilities include:
- Thinking and working across Fidelity by contributing to the overall FI Digital Strategy.
- Motivating associates to grow and develop in a fast-paced innovative learning culture.
- Applying technologies and engineering methods to maximize operational capabilities while optimizing staffing to achieve business goals.
- Ensuring customer applications are stable and secure in all environments, including production.
The Expertise & Skills You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree, advanced graduate degree a plus.
- Delivery Oversite: Lead delivery planning and execution governance, ensuring accurate estimation, dependency management, sequencing, and effective resource allocation across teams. Set and enforce secure engineering standards, ensuring consistent application of security practices across all phases of delivery to protect the firm, its clients, and its data.
- Technical Leadership: Provide leadership and expertise to multiple teams in broad technical areas on complex organization-wide projects. Responsible for overseeing the technical implementation of cross-divisional or company architectural components.
- Strategic Alignment and Influence: Define and apply standards and procedures for new technologies and support their integration into the enterprise technology portfolio. Influence how platforms and systems enable business outcomes through sound technical decisions.
- Talent Management: Accountable for the full talent lifecycle: hiring, coaching, and managing performance of senior level software development team members. Set staffing plans based on strategic priorities and associate career development.
- Nimble Mindset and Creativity Skills: Encourages others to look at problems and processes in new ways and champions continuous improvement. Able to make risk vs. reward decisions in ambiguous situations.
