Description

Human Services- Information, Technology and Support Division is seeking an IT Asset Management Analyst* to support the management and accountability of the division’s information technology hardware assets throughout its lifecycle. This position plays a key role in ensuring technology assets are accurately tracked, properly utilized, and effectively managed from acquisition and deployment through transfer, replacement, recovery, and disposal.
The IT Asset Management Analyst will administer and maintain IT asset information, monitor inventory accuracy, coordinate equipment requests and lifecycle activities, assist with physical inventories and reconciliation efforts. , and coordinate the annual inventory reconciliation and reporting process, including the preparation and distribution of other inventory reports. The position will work closely with IT staff, procurement, warehouse, facilities, finance, security, and departmental business units to ensure County-owned technology is properly received, recorded, assigned, deployed, transferred, recovered, and retired.
Key Responsibilities may include:Oversee the lifecycle management of County IT hardware, including acquisition, receiving, inventory, assignment, deployment, transfer, repair, replacement, recovery, surplus, and disposal.
Administer and maintain accurate IT asset records within designated asset management and service management systems.
Coordinate IT equipment requests, fulfillment, deployment, replacement, reassignment, and recovery with IT staff and departmental stakeholders.
Conduct physical inventories, reconciliations, and audits; research discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions to ensure equipment accountability.
Develop reports, dashboards, and performance measures to monitor inventory accuracy, equipment utilization, lifecycle status, fulfillment, replacement, and recovery.
Develop, implement, and monitor asset management policies, procedures, standards, and internal controls to promote consistency, accountability, and compliance.
Analyze asset management processes and recommend improvements involving workflow automation, system enhancements, data integration, standardization, and operational efficiency.
Provide recommendations and guidance to management, IT staff, and departmental representatives regarding asset utilization, lifecycle management, inventory practices, and equipment accountability.
Support the evaluation and implementation of asset management technologies, integrations, and enhancements to improve IT asset management capabilities.
Maintain documentation and records for audits and provide other related support as required.

Travel: Travel throughout the County may be required and employees will be required to make provisions for such transportation.

| OPTION 2 | EDUCATION: A completed associate's degree or equivalent (60 semester or 90 quarter units) from an accredited** college or university in information technology, computer science, business administration, public administration or closely related field. - - AND - - EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of full-time equivalent experience with primary responsibility in IT asset management, IT service management, or technology operations. |
