Job Overview
The Shipping/Receiving Clerk will be expected to complete all job functions listed below to ensure efficient operations of the department. This position will require the associate to maintain a close working relationship with all departments while keeping safety and food safety in the fore front of all actions and decisions being made in the plant. You will be operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. Your job could involve driving around warehouses, production area and storage spaces. You must be a responsible individual with great experience in driving industrial vehicles. The goal will be to ensure that material and products will always be at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency.
Responsibilities
Set up and manage outbound schedules
Work directly with carrier dispatch personnel via email/phone
Responsible for checking in/out drivers at RTE dock office
Verification of PO’s both for pick up and delivery
Directing drivers to the correct area for delivery/pick up
Responsible for sealing outbound customer orders
Verify driver check in form for accuracy
Obtain pictures of reefer set point and trailer temp reading for confirmation of approved loading temps on all outbound shipments to attach to paperwork
Complete all BOL paperwork for customer and transfer orders
Set up of temperature recorders as needed per customer
Scan and upload all customer orders into AR website program for invoicing
Maintaining all files
Small parcel receiving (UPS Ground, FedEx Ground, FedEx Express)
Inventory management of all logistics supply needs
• Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places• Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies• Transport raw materials to production workstations• Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance• Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities• Clean and sanitize area• Weigh spices for production after checking schedule and printing off recipe specs• Splitting off correct weights from tags in MACOLA and applying tags• Utilize FIFO• Work with QA on allergen locations• Follow all company Safety Rules and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and adhere to JSA guidelines.• Responsible for Food Safety and Quality Culture.• Follow daily set up and/or shutdown procedures.• Maintain accurate records.• Must be able to work any shift, overtime, weekends and/or holidays.• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Qualifications
- Experience in warehouse/manufacturing environment preferred
- Ability to handle multiple task
- Ability to work alone with minimal supervision
- Proven experience as forklift operator
- Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
- Excellent physical condition and coordination
- Valid certification to operate forklifts
- Ability to identify visual defects and make correction as needed and identify and distinguish between colors.
- Must be able to work in areas of varying temperatures.
- Relieve other associates as necessary.
- Maintain good housekeeping.
