Every home in the Roanoke Valley needs a plumber, and the demand isn't slowing down. Ostrom is looking for a Plumbing Apprentice who wants to learn the trade from the ground up, get paid while doing it, and build toward a license and a truck of their own. No experience needed. We'll teach you everything, side by side with plumbers who've been doing this for years.

What You'll Do

• Work alongside lead plumbers on service calls, installs, and repairs: water heaters, fixtures, and copper, PEX, and PVC piping
• Learn to track down leaks, low water pressure, and drainage problems like a pro
• Get hands-on with the tools of the trade, including pipe threaders, soldering and brazing equipment, and diagnostic tools
• Keep your truck stocked, clean, and ready to roll
• Protect every customer's home with drop cloths and shoe covers, and leave it spotless
• Represent Ostrom with courtesy and respect in every home you walk into
• Follow all safety protocols, OSHA standards, and local plumbing codes

Requirements

What You Bring

• A strong work ethic and the drive to become a licensed plumber
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort with hand and power tools
• Clear, friendly communication with customers and teammates
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work in crawl spaces, basements, and all kinds of weather
• Prior plumbing, construction, or hands-on experience is a plus, but not required
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license, insurable driving record, and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• Must be 18 years of age or older to apply
