Position Title: Site Logistics Specialist
Department: Site Logistics Department
Location: Dongguan, Guangdong Province

Position Overview:
 

The Site Logistics Specialist is a comprehensive role responsible for handling end-to-end logistics operations, customs compliance, and trade regulations, specifically within the chemical industry. This position requires proven ability to contribute cross-functional initiatives, optimize logistics workflows, and ensure strict adherence to AEO and EHS standards. The ideal candidate will leverage fluent English, domain expertise, ERP proficiency, and data analytics skills to drive continuous improvement and support strategic decision-making

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrated Logistics Operations: contribute end-to-end logistics processes, including domestic and international inbound & outbound shipments, ensuring on-time delivery and accurate inventory control.
  • Customs Compliance & Regulatory Adherence: Handle import/export customs clearance, ensuring all documentation and processes strictly comply with national laws, chemical transportation regulations, and AEO standards. Mitigate compliance risks and maintain strong relationships with customs authorities and external agents.
  • Project Management & Continuous Improvement: Utilize professional project management methodologies to lead cross-functional initiatives, optimize logistics workflows, and implement innovative solutions to enhance overall departmental efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Team Collaboration: Facilitate daily cross-departmental collaboration and foster a high-performance team culture. Build and maintain strategic relationships with internal stakeholders, government authorities, and clients, while strictly ensuring operational safety and regulatory compliance in all logistics processes.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Track logistics KPIs, analyze freight and warehousing costs, and generate regular performance reports to support strategic decision-making by the Logistics Manager.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Trade, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of comprehensive experience in logistics, freight forwarding, warehousing, and customs affairs & trade compliance. Prior experience in the chemical industry is highly preferred.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English with excellent listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills; capable of handling international business communications and technical documentation independently.
  • Technical & System Skills: Proficient in ERP systems with strong IT database experience. Digital automation programming skills are a strong plus.
  • Professional Certifications: A recognized Project Management certification (e.g., PMP) is preferred. Candidates with GBPL (Green Belt Professional Leadership) certification or equivalent leadership training will be highly regarded.
  • Core Competencies:
  • Proven track record in departmental management and successful project execution.
  • Exceptional teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong innovative thinking with the ability to drive process improvements and manage complex effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of chemical logistics, EHS regulations, and customs compliance.
