Responsibilities
The PJT Partners Technology team is responsible for creating and continuously improving a robust and secure technology foundation that supports the firm's business activities.
We are seeking an experienced Workday professional to join our dynamic team and focus on our Workday Financials platform. This individual will play a key role in leading Workday Financials-related initiatives, managing cross-functional projects and driving enhancements across Workday Financials modules. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, leadership abilities, ability to work across multiple stakeholders and a deep understanding of Workday Financials products and integrations.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage Workday Financials-related projects from planning through execution, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines;
- Develop and implement Workday Financials system upgrades, enhancements and new module deployments (e.g. Financial Accounting, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Expenses, Projects);
- Manage configuration, testing and deployment of updates across Workday Financials modules, including business process configuration and security administration;
- Own Workday release management for Financials, evaluating new features ahead of Workday's semi-annual updates, assessing impact, and leading regression testing and stakeholder communication for each release;
- Support Financials platform roll-out within various business verticals, including finance, accounting and procurement teams;
- Collaborate with Finance, Accounting and other cross-functional teams to understand and address business needs, translating them into effective Workday Financials solutions;
- Drive integration efforts between Workday Financials and other enterprise systems (e.g. banking platforms, expense management tools, procurement vendors), ensuring data flow and operational continuity;
- Lead evaluation and adoption of Workday's AI and machine learning capabilities within Financials, identifying use cases that improve efficiency, accuracy and decision-making for Finance stakeholders;
- Evaluate emerging agentic AI capabilities across the Workday platform and broader finance technology stack, piloting use cases (e.g. automated reconciliation, exception handling, intelligent reporting) and defining governance for responsible adoption;
- Monitor and support day-to-day user experience, platform stability and platform performance for Workday Financials;
- Contribute program management of strategic initiatives related to Workday Financials usage, reporting rationalization and platform adoption.
Qualifications
PJT Partners seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition, qualified candidates will possess the following:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Technology, Finance or Business-related degrees;
- 6+ years of experience in managing enterprise applications, with at least 3+ years of hands-on experience with Workday Financials;
- Expertise in Workday Financials product functionality, including Financial Accounting, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Expenses and Projects;
- Strong technical skills in Workday integrations, including web services, APIs, EIBs and business process configuration;
- Experience managing Workday release cycles, including feature evaluation, regression testing and change communication;
- Familiarity with AI and automation capabilities within Workday or comparable enterprise platforms, including emerging agentic AI use cases, is a plus;
- Implementation, consulting or business administration of Workday Financials;
- Ability to learn additional technology tools (Azure tools, Data Visualization, Data Analytics);
- Strong written, verbal and communication skills with the demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders;
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Expected annualized base salary of $125,000 to $150,000.
This range represents the low and high ends of the expected annualized base salary for this position. The specific base salary received by any employee will be informed by a number of factors, including but not limited to, role level and scope, location, candidate's relevant qualifications, skills and experience.
Base salary is one component of PJT Partners' compensation structure. In addition to base salary, PJT Partners' compensation structure may include additional rewards, incentives and benefits, including but not limited to, a discretionary bonus component.
