The Material Handler is responsible for the efficient and safe movement, storage, and control of all materials and supplies within the Adalet facility, serving internal Power/Industrial customers. This role involves executing all aspects of warehousing operations, including storing, pulling, staging, and receiving materials based on work orders, pick lists, established procedures, and verbal instructions. A fundamental part of the job includes using and interpreting shipping and receiving documentation, performing inventory control (counting, verifying, and recording material), and logging transactions within a general warehousing or ERP System. The handler is expected to operate various material handling equipment such as lift trucks, forklifts, and cranes to safely move and position loads.Essential Duties:
- Use carts and hand equipment to move and store materials.
- Count, verify, and record material received into warehouse areas.
- Check stock against appropriate personnel; store material and record location.
- Pull material, count, verify quantities, note part number and quantity discrepancies and notify supervisor.
- Fill in packing slips per instructions.
- Prepare materials on skids as necessary; attach order and stage for easy access.
- Receive Shipping and receiving documents.
- Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material, improper operations, and unusual conditions to supervisor.
- Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain a neat and orderly work area.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or directed.
Essential Functions:
- Move material to work area as directed

- Use care to lift and balance loads properly
- Unload or assist in unloading inbound shipments
- Loads/Unloads Trucks
- Perform duties to maintain yard and grounds areas in neat manner
- Use common hand or small power tools as required
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Over 6 months previous experience preferred for new employees.
- Perform 1 year of transaction activities.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to read, write, and understand written and verbal instructions and document completion of work.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documentation, return authorizations, numerically sequenced stamps, and receipting machine and recordings.
- Concentrated mental and visual attention required to perform assigned duties and operate various equipment.
- General understanding of ERP System/transaction in a general warehousing system.
