Job Description
As a Registered Dietician, you are uniquely trained to translate scientific, medical and nutrition information into practical healthy meal plans for patients and their families. Client groups receiving your treatment may include Pediatrics for in home or school services and/or Adults with medical/health concerns. Care will take place within a residential or institutional setting with referrals generated by a variety of sources including government agencies, employers, insurance companies or private payees.

What you’ll do:
Determine nutritional needs of patients and plan, implement, and evaluate normal and therapeutic menus to maintain and enhance general health
Aid in the prevention and/or treatment of inadequate nutrition
Maintain professional client records related to client encounters and plans in compliance with ParaMed’s policies and the standards applied by the regulatory body or College of Dieticians.
What you bring:
Registration/licensing with provincial regulatory college in good standing College of Dieticians in Ontario)
Experience with pediatric clients considered an asset.
Working knowledge of applicable legislation including Regulated Health Professionals Act, Dietetics Act, Healthcare Consent Act and others
Current certification (within the past 12 month) of First Aid, CPR, completed within Canada
Able to provide a current, clear Vulnerable Position Screening (VPS)
