Borsa Italiana - Global Market Referential, internship

Borsa Italiana Spa, the company responsible for the organisation and management of Italian financial markets and now part of the Euronext Group, provides an internship opportunity as Global Referential Intern. The Global Referential Team is responsible for the enrichment and management of referential data into the trading platform for Cash Markets. This includes the management of daily updates to internal and customer-facing systems as well as ad-hoc requested and planned changes. The intern will report to the Global Referential Head and support the team for all activities and office functions related to Instruments Reference Data and Trading Platforms management, including Equity Markets. The position will be based in Milan, and start on a date to be defined. You will report to the Global Referential Head.

You will primarily be responsible for:

• Supporting the enrichment and management of referential data in the trading platform for Cash Markets, including daily updates and ad-hoc changes
• Following key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational excellence
• Maintaining working relationships with key internal contacts and external organisations
• Managing and minimising operational risks at all times
• Identifying impacts on the trading platform related to Borsa disposals
• Liaising with the Business team to address requests from authorities
• Managing and updating relevant documentation and providing user support during business-as-usual activities

Your profile:

• Master’s degree in Economics, Finance or a related field (or currently enrolled)
• Good knowledge of cash markets and financial instruments
• Proficiency in English and Italian
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
• Previous experience in a similar environment is a plus
