We hire the best security talent and arm them with leading-edge tools and technology so they can help clients build resilience through integrated, customized solutions that blend risk strategy, digital identity, cyber defense, application security, and managed services.
As part of Accenture Security, the Cyber Intelligence (CI) team — specifically the Industry Intelligence and Analysis (IIA) team — are analysts and subject matter experts who produce finished intelligence for industry verticals for our various clients and internal stakeholders. For this position the candidate should possess a deep knowledge of the Public Sector, Cyber Security and Cyber Intelligence so that they can speak to the threat landscape facing government agencies, defense organizations, educational institutions, and public safety entities, and thrive translating complex intelligence into clear, actionable insights for both technical and executive audiences.
The Work:
As a Public Sector SME within the IIA team, you will report to the Lead of the Industry Intelligence and Analysis Team. Your responsibilities include:
Research, analyze, and produce finished intelligence on cyber threats targeting Public Sector verticals — including Aerospace and Defense, Public Safety and Defense, Education, and local, state, and federal Government sectors
Monitor and assess emerging cyber threat actors, threat groups, and campaigns with demonstrated relevance to Public Sector clients and stakeholders
Develop and maintain short- and long-term research projects that track threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) and broader geopolitical conditions affecting Public Sector cybersecurity posture
Produce written intelligence reports, threat assessments, and executive-level briefings tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences
Collaborate with peer analysts and industry specialists across the IIA team to ensure cross-vertical intelligence, integration and consistency
Present findings through formal briefings, external engagements, and client-facing deliverables
Support Accenture sales and business development efforts as a subject matter expert, including participation in proposals and client conversations
Continue to grow and develop technical cyber intelligence and Public Sector domain expertise
Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0% to 25% depending on business need and client requirements.
Here's What You Need:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with demonstrated focus on cyber threat intelligence, threat analysis, or related discipline
Minimum of 4 years of specialized experience in at least one Public Sector vertical: Aerospace and Defense, Public Safety and Defense, Education, or local/state/federal Government
Minimum of 4 years’ experience and demonstrated expertise in cyber threat intelligence production, including:
Experience tracking and analyzing Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) groups, cybercriminal actors, and hacktivist activity relevant to Public Sector targets
Proficiency in intelligence tradecraft, including source evaluation, analytic confidence assessment, and structured analytic techniques (e.g., ACH, key assumptions checks)
Experience authoring finished intelligence products — threat reports, situational assessments, and executive briefings — for diverse audiences
Minimum of 4 years of experience with government cybersecurity frameworks, policies, and initiatives (e.g., CISA directives, NIST CSF, CMMC, FedRAMP, EO 14028)
Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate's Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)
Bonus Points If:

You are familiar with MITRE ATT&CK and can map adversary behavior to specific techniques
You hold relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CEH, GCTI, GREM, or similar
