POSITION OVERVIEW
Millborn Seeds is seeking a full-time Cleaner Operator to support daily seed processing, packaging, inventory movement, and shipping at our Hemingford, NE location. This role is responsible for safely operating seed-cleaning equipment, meeting product quality specifications, and keeping work moving according to the processing schedule.
This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys hands-on work, pays close attention to quality, and takes ownership of getting the job done safely and on time. The ideal candidate anticipates what is coming, communicates when issues arise, and is willing to support teammates wherever needed. All Millborn teammates must be able to adapt as priorities change and remain committed to serving customers and growing the company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute the daily seed-processing schedule safely, accurately, and within timing expectations.
- Set up, operate, and monitor seed-cleaning equipment according to product specifications and standard work procedures.
- Inspect cleaned seed for quality, make appropriate equipment adjustments, and communicate issues that could affect quality or timing.
- Perform basic machine troubleshooting and promptly escalate equipment or maintenance needs.
- Package, label, and stage cleaned products accurately for storage or shipment.
- Prepare outbound shipments in time for scheduled pickup and verify that products and paperwork are accurate.
- Load and unload bulk seed shipments safely and efficiently.
- Assist with receiving, inventory movement, and general warehouse flow to maintain organization and accuracy.
- Operate forklifts, loaders, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Cross-train across production and warehouse functions and support other areas based on daily priorities and workload.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and help develop practical standard work procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

- Cleaned seed consistently meets established quality specifications.
- Equipment issues are identified early, communicated clearly, and addressed promptly.
- Finished products and outbound shipments are packaged, staged, and documented accurately.

Preferred:
- Previous experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, agriculture, seed, or distribution operations.
- Forklift certification or equipment-operation experience.
- Experience operating or troubleshooting basic production equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of agricultural products or seed-industry operations.
