Key Responsibilities
Operational Reporting and Performance Analysis
- Prepare regular weekly and monthly performance reports for senior management and key stakeholders, covering operational metrics, capacity utilisation and benchmarking.
- Gather, validate and analyse usage data to identify trends, assess the relationships between key parameters and sustainability metrics, and evaluate their impact on system performance.
- Conduct market analysis on competitors' operational data and provide technical and operational insights in collaboration with the Global Engineering and Reliability Authority (GERA) to support continuous improvement.
- Prepare internal and external reporting requirements with Transformations, establish centralised metrics dashboard in future for management and stakeholders.
- Support gathering the sustainability data within Operations required by external auditors for data assurance and annual sustainability report.
Capacity Management and Optimisation
- Maintain an accurate capacity inventory across the regional portfolio, covering physical and virtual capacity including power allocation and connectivity at country, campus, cluster, building and data hall level.
- Maintain the global capacity management policy; optimise occupancy rates to improve efficiency and reduce waste; and support capacity reallocation decisions based on priority, availability, technical feasibility and business need.
- Forecast future capacity requirements based on business growth, customer trends and usage patterns to support informed management decision-making.
- Support due diligence study on capacity in existing market and new market conducted by Pre-Sales, estimate the capacity of players based on rules of thumb on electrical & mechanical components or land size.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Business Operations, Sustainability, Investment, Pre-Sales, and Transformations on internal and external reporting requirements and cross-functional workstreams.
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical, electronic, mechanical, mechatronic or related discipline) or a related technical field.
Experience
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in a data center-relevant discipline, including operations, design, construction or product; with a strong working knowledge of data center infrastructure covering power, cooling, building management and network systems.
Skills and Competencies
- Fluent in English; proficiency in local languages of the market where DayOne operates or plans to expand would be an advantage including Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, Bahasa Malaysia/Indonesia, Japanese, or Thai.
- Strong analytical and data skills; proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Power BI. n
- Commercially aware, with the ability to translate operational data into clear, actionable insight for senior stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrable experience collaborating across internal and external stakeholder groups.
Certifications
- Professional certification in data center operations (EPI: CDCP, CDCS, CDCE, CTDC; or Uptime: ATD, ATS, AOS) or a related discipline is advantageous.
Travel
- Approximately 10% regional travel is required to support site visits and reporting activities across the portfolio.
