KRI is hiring an on-site Regulatory Affairs & Compliance coordinator for our Fort Collins team. If you are ready to establish the framework, write the policies, and own compliance across the organization, this might be the job for you.

You'll be responsible for overseeing and managing compliance with a range of regulations and initiatives to ensure the company's operations meet all applicable standards.

KRI designs and manufactures broad-beam products, including commercial ion sources and power supply controllers. This is a full-time on-site position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at our Fort Collins office. We are preparing to move to a new facility in Wellington, Colorado.

The salary range for this position is $60-90k, our benefits are competitive, and our 401k contribution is unusually generous.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Regulatory Affairs & Compliance Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and managing compliance with a variety of regulations and initiatives, including but not limited to environmental protection, human rights, labor practices, and ethical business conduct. This role will require a proactive individual with strong attention to detail and the ability to work cross-functionally to ensure that the company's operations meet all relevant compliance standards.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Environmental Protection & Sustainability Initiatives: Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including initiatives for energy management, carbon footprint reduction, green initiatives, and relevant certifications such as REACH EU.

Human Rights & Labor Standards: Oversee policies and procedures to ensure compliance with human rights and labor regulations, including the implementation of ethical sourcing and supply chain management strategies.

Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption: Develop and enforce policies that comply with anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws, promoting ethical business practices.

Supply Chain Management: Monitor and ensure compliance with supply chain regulations, including conflict minerals (3TG), trade compliance, and international trade rules. Will maintain adherence to DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement).

Regulatory Compliance: Stay current on relevant regulations, including ROHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances), REACH, cybersecurity regulations, WEEE, and business continuity standards.

Reporting & Documentation: Prepare compliance reports for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate submission of necessary regulatory documents.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work with teams across departments to drive the company's regulatory strategy, ensuring continuous improvement and compliance with all industry standards.

Training & Awareness: Provide training and guidance to staff on regulatory matters, ensuring they understand the company's responsibilities and commitments.

Incident Management & Risk Mitigation: Responsible for ensuring customer data is managed safely, including customer and payment information. Assist in managing incidents related to compliance breaches including data and IT security, coordinating investigations, and corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Business, Law, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in regulatory affairs, compliance, or a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing, technology, or electronics-related industry.

Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to environmental protection, human rights, labor, anti-bribery/anti-corruption, supply chain, cybersecurity, and sustainability.

Familiarity with key regulations such as REACH EU, WEEE, ROHS, 3TG, DFARS, and carbon footprint reduction strategies.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex regulatory information clearly and concisely.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, with strong attention to detail.

Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of business continuity and cybersecurity regulations preferred.

Certifications related to regulatory affairs or compliance (e.g., CCEP, CIRM) are a plus.

Electronics background preferred.

Skills and Qualifications

Knowledge of applicable domestic and international regulatory requirements and standards related to manufacturing and electronic products (e.g., RoHS, REACH, CE, FCC, export/import regulations, OSHA, EPA, ISO standards).

Knowledge of regulatory documentation, technical records, and document control practices.

Knowledge of product compliance processes, testing, certification, and labeling requirements.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes, engineering change management, and quality systems.

Knowledge of audit preparation and regulatory inspection processes.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and document management systems.

Ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements to business operations and products.

Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and changing priorities with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Ability to research, analyze, and communicate regulatory information effectively across departments.

Ability to maintain organized and accurate records and documentation.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with engineering, quality, operations, and leadership teams.

Ability to identify compliance risks and recommend practical solutions.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.
