NIH D43 Program AdministratorDepartment:
Veterinary Medicine | Veterinary Preventive MedicineThe employee will serve as a Program Administrator for the NIH D43 Program known as the One Health Eastern Africa Research Training (OHEART) program. The position will be at postdoctoral level. The will contribute to the program by successfully supporting technical and administrative program implementation for OHEART that is a collaborative effort with Kenya and Ethiopia partners. The duties include supporting and facilitating fellow trainees remotely; coordinating laboratory support and manuscript writing including achieving publications in targeted journals. Additional responsibilities include active and ongoing stakeholder engagement through workshop/program retreat/ meeting facilitation; coordinating/disseminating communication materials and travel coordination for program MPIs; liaising with key personnel within the prime (KEMRI, Kenya) and subawardee (GO, LLC in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia) to achieve program objectives successfully.
Additional Information:
Minimum Qualifications:
- PhD in epidemiology with emphasis on zoonotic viruses and bacterial molecular epidemiology or characterization.
- Having background in veterinary medicine, human medicine or public health
Desired Qualifications:
- Track record of working in global/ international settings is a plus.
- Have a Masters of Public Health is desirable.
