Our 95,000 employees work across more than 150 countries to put patients first — developing innovative medical technologies that improve the lives of 72+ million patients each year. Your unique talents will help shape the future of healthcare while building a career grounded in purpose, growth, and impact.

A Day in the Life

In this exciting role as a Quality Engineer on the Plymouth Nathan Lane Sustaining Quality Engineering team, you will serve as the quality voice and subject matter expert across a broad range of sustaining engineering activities supporting the Peripheral Vascular Health (PVH) platform.

This role provides an opportunity to make a direct impact on product quality, manufacturing performance, and business continuity. Responsibilities will span day-to-day manufacturing support, capacity expansion, equipment end-of-life replacement, yield improvement, technology and process changes, quality improvement, and Lean transformation initiatives.
You will partner closely with a broad cross-functional team—including Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Regulatory, and other functional organizations—to identify risks, develop solutions, and implement sustainable improvements that strengthen our products and processes. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, technical judgment, and the ability to influence across functions while maintaining a strong focus on quality and compliance.

This is an in-person/on-site position at the Plymouth Nathan Lane facility with very limited travel required. The Plymouth Nathan Lane facility supports the Peripheral Vascular Health (PVH) Operating Unit (OU). PVH brings together multiple peripheral vascular businesses into one cross-functional and collaborative operating unit, leveraging the breadth of our talent, technologies, products, services, and solutions to address the needs of customers and patients around the world.

As a member of the Sustaining Quality Engineering team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the continued quality, reliability, compliance, and performance of products throughout their lifecycle while enabling the organization to respond effectively to evolving business and customer needs. Act boldly. Compete to win. Move with speed and decisiveness. Foster belonging. Deliver results…the right way. That’s the Medtronic Mindset — our cultural norms. Our brand is rooted in action, not just words. The Medtronic Mindset defines the expectations of our culture. Every person here plays a role in bringing it to life. We recognize your extraordinary potential to ensure future generations live better, healthier lives.

At Medtronic, we bring bold ideas forward with speed and decisiveness to put patients first in everything we do. In-person exchanges are invaluable to our work.
