Description

Our brand, Lennor Metier Consultinga DOLE-licensed headhunting and recruitment agency in the Philippines, is proud to partner with a multinational tech company in their search for a Finastra Payments Expert based in BGC.

Salary Range: Open

Work Setup: Hybrid

Shift Schedule: Day Shift

Location: BGC

The Role

We are looking for a Payments SME with Finastra Global PAYplus (GPP) experience to support a core banking transformation program for a client based in the Philippines. The SME will own the payments product stream, driving requirement analysis and To-Be solution design for RTGS, SWIFT, cards, and real-time payment integrations.
This is a core banking implementation role. The candidate must have hands-on, end-to-end experience delivering core banking transformation programs (not advisory-only exposure), and must be comfortable working directly with product vendors to challenge, validate, and finalize the To-Be system design.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Analyze payments requirements and design solutions for RTGS, SWIFT, cards, and real-time payment system integration on Finastra GPP.
  • Design and document GPP integration with upstream and downstream applications through MQ/API, including data mapping and transformation logic.
  • Lead discussions with stakeholders, interface teams, platform vendors, and the Solution Architecture team to identify and finalize integration points.
  • Own preparation, review, and sign-off of Interface Specification Documents (ISDs) for payments integrations.
  • Explain and support core banking workflows for cross-border payments, including SWIFT/ISO 20022 message flows.
  • Support monitoring of SLAs, throughput, and latency for payment interfaces, and ensure compliance with security standards (e.g., OAuth2, SSL) and payment regulations.
  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for the product/module during requirement analysis, solution design, build, testing, and cutover phases of the core banking implementation.
  • Engage directly with product vendors to clarify product capability, configuration options, gaps, and constraints, and drive decisions on the To-Be system design.
  • Lead and/or contribute to workshops with business stakeholders, interface teams, the Solution Architecture team, and platform vendors to gather and validate requirements.
  • Prepare and own Interface Specification Documents (ISDs)/functional and technical design documents, and drive review sign-off with upstream and downstream teams.
Support solution design for integrating the platform with upstream and downstream applications via MQ, REST/SOAP APIs, and file-based interfaces.
  • Support SIT/UAT test planning and execution, triage integration defects, and drive resolution with the vendor and delivery teams.
  • Support data mapping, migration validation, and reconciliation activities relevant to the module.
  • Support cutover planning and hypercare activities through go-live.
  • Manage stakeholders across business, technology, and vendor teams, and escalate risks/issues proactively

What We're Looking For:

  • Hands-on Finastra GPP implementation/integration experience within a core banking transformation program.
  • At least 10 years of overall IT experience, with substantial hands-on experience in core banking transformation/implementation programs.
  • Strong functional/technical knowledge of RTGS, SWIFT, cross-border payments, and ISO 20022 messaging.
  • Experience integrating payments platforms via REST/SOAP APIs, MQ, and file-based interfaces, with JSON / XML data formats.
  • Experience preparing Interface Specification Documents (ISDs) for payments integrations and obtaining stakeholder/vendor sign-off.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle FLEXCUBE (for CASA/payments interplay) and general reporting tools.
  • Prior experience acting as techno-functional SME across core banking plus payments/trade/lending domains.
  • Proven experience working as an individual contributor who can independently drive solutioning, documentation, and approvals, this is a hands-on role, not a purely supervisory one.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills; able to work with business teams, interface/platform teams, and Solution Architecture teams.
  • Experience preparing and obtaining sign-off on Interface Specification Documents (ISDs) and integration design artifacts.
  • Working knowledge of integration technologies: REST/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML, MQ/Kafka, and file-based interfaces.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting solution options to senior stakeholders and vendors.
